About

You are an elite pilot of the United States of Earth (USE) Navy. You have been trained to fly the 12 most advanced Space Fighters ever developed by Earth technology. In the midst of deep space maneuvers, your squad encounters a fleet of unidentified alien vessels, a violently aggressive war party that assaults and destroys your carrier, Earth's flagship: the Roma Victus.

You must flee the onslught and regroup with the rest of the USE Navy. Your task is to manuever your USE Fighter through the void of space As quickly as possible while maintaining the integrity of your fighter. You will be attacked every step of the way by the Aliens the men have taken to calling “The Dragons”, but with your cutting edge arsenal, including an advanced 360 degree targeting system, an impenetrable force field, and a unique power-up storage system, you should be able to escape intact and while inflicting massive damage.

N2 is a new skool racing shmup for 1-4 players. N2 was created by students at Georgia Tech, and is the flagship title of the Destiny3D engine. N2 has been described as a cross between Smash TV, Spy Hunter, and Galaga made 3D. The current version of N2 supports 2 and 4 way split screen and can be played cooperatively or competitively.

Tips

- Don't forget to accelerate. You'll never finish if you just sit there!
- You have a whole set of power-ups pre loaded on your ship. Hit the use button to arm or execute the power up. If you don't want the powerup on top, discard it to get at the next one.
- If you are getting mobbed by enemies, take your finger off the accelerator until you are safe.
- When you choose your ship, take one that matches your play style. Small ships tend to be fast but are easily destroyed. Large ships tend to be better all around, but they make for larger targets!
- When you are on the same team as other players, your speed its averaged together. Be sure to communicate when you want to speed up or slow down.
- Ships with fewer guns should use mines and bombs to even the odds.
- Speed power-ups are a great way to improve your time, but they can get you in trouble if you aren't careful.
